Using social media as a casting tool isn’t a new concept. Even a decade ago — before TikTok took over — I was casting international ad campaigns almost exclusively through Facebook groups!
But as a Gen Z who’s chronically online anyways, it feels like a gift to use my knowledge of short-form video content, trending audios, and dance choreography to connect hopeful performers and real people with amazing on-screen opportunities (and major prizes) every day! I’ve even picked up clients through appearing on their FYP!
It is not lost on me how unique, fun, and fulfilling my job is. So in celebration of another day in the industry: here is a countdown of the 10 most viral casting calls I’ve ever posted - one of which, you’re still able to apply to!

I have posted a lot of casting calls towards East Coast Canadians - but this one takes the cake at #7 on the most viral list. Set to “Heave Away” by The Fables, this one was casting talented East Coasters — you may be noticing a trend here!

Ringing in at #5 is another home cook callout, this time set to “Canadian Girls,” by Dean Brody.
But wait! This one is a double feature; the same video garnered an additional 55.7K views on TikTok - for a combined total of 204.4K views!

Coming in at #4 is this on-set BTS for Family Feud Canada — and although I am no longer on the casting team … as the video states, you can apply to them anytime through the FFC socials!
